Refund Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
We want you to be confident in your investment. This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for our website build fee and hosting plans, and applies together with the client's signed Client Agreements.
1. Website Build Fee ($999.99 or $1,499.99 CAD)
1.1 The Build Fee covers the design, development, and publication of your website. It is charged only once, after you have reviewed and approved the design, and immediately before your website is published — not as an upfront deposit.
1.2 Go-live refund window. You may request a full refund of the Build Fee within 7 days of your website's go-live date, for any reason. If you request this refund, we will also cancel your hosting plan and take your website offline, as described in Section 4. After this 7-day window has passed, the Build Fee is non-refundable, since the website has been delivered and published as you approved it.
2. Monthly Hosting Plans
Monthly hosting plans are billed in advance. You may cancel at any time through your dashboard or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods already paid. Current plan pricing (Silver, Gold, Elite) is set out in Appendix A to our Terms and Conditions.
3. Annual Hosting Plans
Annual hosting plans are billed upfront at a 10% discount (see Appendix A to our Terms and Conditions for current pricing) and are a 12-month commitment. If you cancel an annual plan yourself, it is non-refundable, whether you cancel after one month or eleven, and regardless of the reason for cancelling. A refund of unused annual hosting fees is only available if we cancel or discontinue your service, as described in our Terms and Conditions, Section 12 (Business Transfer and Discontinuation of Service).
4. What Happens to Your Website on Cancellation
If you cancel your hosting plan — monthly or annual — for any reason, your website is taken offline at the end of your paid hosting period, and the Build Fee is not refunded, except during the 7-day go-live window described in Section 1.2. As explained in our Terms and Conditions, SP Digital Solutions owns the website build; on request within 30 days of cancellation, and provided your account is paid in full, we will provide you an export of your own content (text, images, logos, and similar materials) so you can use it elsewhere. This does not include the underlying website build itself unless you and Company have separately agreed in writing to a buyout of the build.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at sales@spdigitalsolutions.com with your account details and the reason for your request. We will process approved refunds to your original payment method within 10 business days.
6. Exceptional Circumstances
We may issue refunds outside this Policy at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as a significant failure on our part to deliver the agreed services, or a billing error.
7. Consumer Protection
If you are an individual acquiring our services primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, this Policy does not limit any cancellation right or other statutory right you have under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act, including for Internet sales contracts over $50 formed through text-based internet communications. Where that Act applies and requires disclosure of transaction terms before purchase, this Policy and the checkout confirmation together provide that disclosure. If this Policy conflicts with that Act, the Act prevails.
